"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.

This week 'The Mad Scientist" is joined by one of his apprentices, John Corrie, on a special Sunday edition of the show with guests Chris Wassell of Project Roto and Fantasy Hockey X, Brian Snow of Arena Sports Network and Snowman In the Morning, and Terry Johnson of The Student Section.

The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!

The Mad Scientist’s Sports Lab: 2015 MOCK MARCH MADNESS SELECTION SHOW – 3/14/2015

Sunday, March 15th, 2015

TMSSLBlog

"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.

This week is a very special episode of "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab", as the crew of The Student Section (@TheStudentSect) joins me in doing a 2015 MOCK MARCH MADNESS SELECTION SHOW.

As everyone knows, on Sunday, March 15, 2015, the NCAA will have it's annual selection show to determine the 68 teams that will vie for the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship. And it is well known that you have "bracketologists" everywhere trying to predict the 68 teams, where they will be placed, who's in, who's out, et al.

Well tonight, The Mad Scientist and The Student Section (Matt Zemek @SectionMZ, Terry Johnson @Section TPJ, Scott King (@BearcatsBlog) ) will take on the roles of the NCAA Selection Committee in a War Room Type Setting to hash out who they think will be the 68 teams to join, and give their reasons why those teams are on, and why some teams didn't get in. It is going to be a very intriguing 2 hours, and you know it will get heated amongst "the committee".

The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!

Saturday, March 14th, 2015

The Broad Street Line

The 2015 NFL season officially started with a bang earlier this week, and the Philadelphia Eagles were right in the midst of all of the madness. Signing Byron Maxwell was only the fourth biggest move the team made this week: We'll break down the Nick Foles trade, give you our thoughts on the DeMarco Murray signing, and tell you which teams are the early winners of the NFL's offseason.

Later in the show, we'll take a look at the NBA as the playoff race heats up, update Cliff Lee's situation with the Philadelphia Phillies, and get you caught up on the rest of the past week in the world of sports as only we can. So come and take a ride on The Broad Street Line: The future of sports talk radio has finally arrived.
