This week is a very special episode of "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab", as the crew of The Student Section (@TheStudentSect) joins me in doing a 2015 MOCK MARCH MADNESS SELECTION SHOW.
As everyone knows, on Sunday, March 15, 2015, the NCAA will have it's annual selection show to determine the 68 teams that will vie for the NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship. And it is well known that you have "bracketologists" everywhere trying to predict the 68 teams, where they will be placed, who's in, who's out, et al.
Well tonight, The Mad Scientist and The Student Section (Matt Zemek @SectionMZ, Terry Johnson @Section TPJ, Scott King (@BearcatsBlog) ) will take on the roles of the NCAA Selection Committee in a War Room Type Setting to hash out who they think will be the 68 teams to join, and give their reasons why those teams are on, and why some teams didn't get in. It is going to be a very intriguing 2 hours, and you know it will get heated amongst "the committee".

This week, The Mad Scientist's Special Guest will be none other than "The General" Mike Patton, of City Sports Report. It is no secret that "The Mad Scientist" and "The General" don't agree on many sports topics, but the debates are always in good clean old-fashioned fun, and there will be no doubt it will happen again, this time LIVE ON AIR. The lineup also includes Antwan Staley (@AntwanStaley) of BlackRedSoxFan.com and Pro Players Insider to talk about an event he went to for the Florida Panthers regarding Autism, as well the new back-up goalie competition and other NHL News; AT the top of the second hour, Derek Helling from Outside Pitch MLB (@DHellingOPS and @OPSN_MLB) will be joining us for his weekly segment and will be previewing the National League East; In the final 30 minutes, Brandon Pemberton (@BrandonOnSports) of Brandon on Sports, Sports Trap Radio, War Room Sports, and Pro Players Insider will join us to talk some NFL, specifically the carnage being left by Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles.

This week is a special epsiode of The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab, as at the start of the show, he welcomes Kansas City Royals legend Willie Mays Aikens into the lab. Aikens was once one of the most feared hitters of the late 1970' and early 1980's with the Royals, helping lead Kansas City to the AL pennant in 1980. However, drugs overcame him, and he ended up in prison for almost 20 years. However, since his release in 2008, Aikens has spoken at schools about his experiences and to the Royals’ young players, always hoping to return to baseball. In November 2008, he apologized to Royals fans and the people of Kansas City in the Kansas City Star. In 2011, he returned to the Royals Family in the organization, and has since wrote a book about his rise, fall, and rebirth "Safe At Home". As an extra added attraction, JP Muzio, former host of The Sports Ministry and Off The Wall, will be joining me on the interview.
Also appearing this week - 30 minutes into the show, Andrew Garda of NJ.com and Bleacher Report to talk some New Jersey college sports (Rutgers, Seton Hall and more); at the top of the second hour, Derek Helling of Outside Pitch MLB returns to preview the American League West; and for the last 30 minutes, Matt Zemek of The Student Section to talk some NCAA Basketball and a Preview to March Madness.
